Creating A Culture Of Subs: A Look Behind Our Custom Creations

Fresh baked sub bread baguettes

With over 60 sub options to choose from, creating the SubCulture menu did not happen overnight. In fact, it happened over the course of three mornings on a few sheets of butcher paper!

Through travel, life experiences, and a shared love of food, the owners of SubCulture decided to create a “culture of subs” all in one restaurant and brought it to life in Denver, Colorado. Though you will find all the classics such as the Reuben and Italian Deli, it is in the custom created subs where our original ideas can be found.

Flight Inspired Flavors

Look no further than the Tuk Tuk named after the classic three-wheeled “rickshaws” found all over Asia. After a trip to Thailand, it only made sense to feature a sub with a sweet thai chili flavor and pulled pork.

For the Londoner, we were inspired by our trips throughout England where the classic roast beef, cheddar, and horseradish flavors can be found on most tables on a Sunday evening.

If you have tried the Juanita, with a few variations, the slow roasted pulled pork and habanero jam was inspired by the street vendors who sell delicious street pork tacos with a piece of pineapple on top.

As for the Monte Cubano and the Calle 8? Well, the owners first met in Miami so it only made sense! All of the flavors behind these Cuban Monte Cubano Denverinspired subs can be found throughout the streets and local restaurants of the city.

Combining It All Into A Sub…Or A Few!

Our menu has something for everyone, no matter where they are from. We have tried to create an atmosphere where all the different cultures of the world can be found in-between two pieces of fresh baked bread and we hope you have a chance to try them all one day!
